Congratulations to first-year Environmental Technology Program students David Anavilok, who was recently named as this year's recipient of the NorthMart Environmental Technology Scholarship!
This scholarship is funded from Northmart’s Green Bag Fund and is awarded to a promising first year student in need. This is the second year they have given the scholarship. Last year, students Kerry Pottle and Randy Schwandt were both winners. The sponsorship continues throughout their two years in the program.
Nunavut Arctic College and the Nunavut Research Institute would like to express our sincerest thanks to NorthMart and the Northwest Company for supporting our students with this scholarship.
The Environmental Technology Program is a two-year diploma program that incorporates classroom and practical lab and field experiences to develop student skills. Graduates of the program will possess the necessary skills to meet the growing demand for environmental practitioners in such fields as resource development and management, fish and wildlife conservation, environmental protection, parks management, environmental assessment, waste management, environmental research, and environmental education.
