It was a busy winter at hockey rinks across northern Canada. Northern was proud to donate serveral sets of jerseys and sponsor a number of tournaments this year. Peewees and Atoms in Ile a la Crosse got new jerseys sponsored by Northern, as well as teams in Black Lake, Buffalo Narrows, Deer Lake, Fort Simpson, Island Lake and Tulita. 

Northern donated an annual trophy to the Inukjuak Peewees, and teams from Pikankikum and Kasabonika got Northern support throughout their season.

Northern also sponsored tournaments in Inukjuak, Kashechewan, Kangisujuaq and Sandy Lake.
