Cost-U-Less and Island Fresh Putt For Dough
Cost-U-Less Guam and Island Fresh had golfers “putting for dough” on May 26th at the 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The annual golf tournament is held to raise funds for deserving local non-profit organizations making a difference in the community.
This year Cost-U-Less Guam and Island Fresh, along with the help of 146 generous golfers, raised over $16,000 totaling $100,000 since the first tournament was held eight years ago. The primary beneficiaries of this year’s event were the Guam Diabetes Association and Guam Special Olympics.
Volunteers from Cost-U-Less Guam and Island Fresh worked around –the-clock to ensure everything ran according to plan. A big thank you goes out to the hardworking committee members & employee volunteers who made this event possible.
The Guam Diabetes Association is a volunteer run organization dedicated to bringing awareness to the people of Guam about the dangers of diabetes and how to control it on a daily basis through exercise and healthy eating habits.
Special Olympics Guam is the major provider of sporting opportunities for people with a learning disability. They provide equal opportunity for all athletes regardless of their ability or degree of disability.
