People have been eating 16% healthier in communities with Northern and NorthMart stores, since the Health Happy program was introduced 18 months ago.

Thanks to the program, healthier alternatives for all sorts of food items can be found on the shelves of Northern and NorthMart stores across the country.

The Health Happy program aims to increase the accessibility of food products with reduced salt, sugar, caffeine, or fat content. Since the program’s introduction in Northern and NorthMart stores in September 2017, consumption of healthier food products has increased by nearly 16%.

Customers and staff in St. Theresa Point, MB are excited to see Health Happy selections, and North West is pleased to be able to provide customers in the community a healthier lifestyle with smarter food choices.

“I like to use the low sodium beef broth for my stir fry,” said Mary Mason, a St. Theresa Point shopper.
