Youth in Puvirnituq, QU had the opportunity to learn traditional Inuit skills during a summer camp made possible by the Greener Tomorrow program.

The Puvirnituq Northern store raised $3,580.46 through the Greener Tomorrow program, which it presented to Ilagisuta Family House, a community outreach program led by the community health centre. The grant has been used to help Ilagisuta Family House offer a summer camp for youth in the community, providing lessons on traditional Inuit skills and the importance of being environmentally friendly for future generations.

“These funds will have a positive impact on the community as it will also help increase the breadth of the summer camp,” said James Getgood, Puvirnituq Northern Store Manager.
