Northern Kuujjuaq has contributed $1,500 towards Suicide Prevention in the area. The donation was presented during a three-day suicide prevention and intervention workshop held in Kuujjuaq, QC in late February. The focus was on learning the signs of impending suicide or harm to oneself, prevention, and healthier living lifestyles.

Northern Store Manager Kate Carter presented the donation to Valerie Lock, the Suicide Prevention Liaison Worker for the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services, at a community feast held at the Kuujjuaq Forum after the workshop.

"Funds are always necessary to promote better lifestyle workshops. Thank-you so much!” said Lock in appreciation of Northern Kuujjuaq’s donation.
