Judges sampled more than two dozen varieties of chili in a community cook-off contest held in Peawanuck, ON last month.

Thirteen people participated in the cook-off on March 14 at the community hall, with each contestant making two varieties of chili for the judges to sample: one spicy and one mild.

Northern Store Admin Supervisor Patrick Dean and Marcie, a local registered nurse, had a great time judging the cook-off.

“The contest was very well organized and I enjoy helping out with community events whenever I’m asked,” Patrick said.
