Vince Winter, ACC Aniak Store Manager, has spent the last six years getting to know the culture and giving back to the community in Aniak, and it has paid off: he is the well-deserving winner of the 2019 TKC Non-Shareholder Award. This award is given to a community member who demonstrates outstanding community service in the Kuskokwim region.

“I am honored to be recognized by the shareholders of The Kuskokwim Corporation, as this award represents the voice of the community,” said Vince.

Vince began his journey with The North West Company along with his wife Nicole in October of 2013 as a Manager in Training, and became the Store Manager of Aniak, Alaska just a few months later. Vince’s dedication to his job and the community members he serves proves that he is a perfect example of the core values that The North West Company believes in.

“I may be a branch manager here in Aniak, but in reality I act as a liaison for AC.  I have had the opportunity to get to know the culture, my community and become a trusted leader here as well,” said Vince.  “This honor lets me know that I am doing the right thing and our community appreciates our dedication to them.”

Vince was nominated by Marce Simeon, a local community member that he built a strong relationship with over the years. Marce thanked Vince by saying “Thank you, Vince, for all you do and please know that you are truly appreciated”.
