A handful of staff at the Northern store in Arviat, NU were recognized for serving their community and being dedicated employees – especially during the trying times presented by the pandemic.

Recently, the Hamlet of Arviat recognized Northern employee Ronnie Illungiayok for being an essential worker. The Hamlet has been running this recognition program for about a year, selecting an essential worker in the community each month to receive a gift card. Illungiayok was the first Northern Store employee to receive this award from the Hamlet.
