Norway House Cree Nation (NHCN) hosted the 4th Annual Reclaiming Our Future Economic Development Youth Conference. Over two days of workshops, keynotes, panel discussions, and youth-focused cultural activities, the event provided a platform for First Nations youth to explore career pathways, embrace the importance of culturally-rooted economic development strategies, and be empowered strong leaders of tomorrow.
Our teams from NorthMart Cross Lake and Northern Rossville were excited to participate in the career fair, engaging with youth on potential career opportunities, and sharing North West’s rich enterprising history and large-scale operations across rural and remote communities.

"I was glad to support Lennox Moore, our Cross Lake Tim Hortons Supervisor, as he shared his incredible career journey—growing from clerk to department supervisor at a young age," said Aswin Anikuttan, Store Manager, Cross Lake. "It was truly rewarding to engage with young people, share knowledge, and help inspire their future paths."
At North West, we are proud to play an active role in partnerships that put young learners first.
