Our Northern Store in Moose Factory was honoured to support the Pathways to Healing three-day conference, held Sept. 24 to 26, organized by Moose Cree Health Services on behalf of Moose Cree First Nation.
This year’s theme, “Embrace Healing: Transform Pain into Progress,” provided a platform for cultural learning and reconnection through hands-on beading and dreamcatcher workshops, traditional medicine making, and insightful teachings on healing and mental well-being. Other highlights included a community feast, pop-up games, karaoke nights and youth-focused presentations.

The Northern team worked closely with event organizer Terrence Hardisty, Health and Wellness Coordinator at Moose Cree Health Services, to coordinate the donation of essential items and the grand prize — a Starlink kit.
“The conference was a powerful way to bring people together, celebrate culture and support community well-being,” said Store Manager Mykhailo Sakhyrn. "Events like this create space for learning, sharing, and healing collectively, and I believe it truly strengthened our connections across generations.”
At North West, we are proud to support initiatives that foster healing, cultural connection, and community well-being in the communities we serve.
