Last year, the Healthy Horizons Foundation (HHF), in partnership with Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), launched the Northy Club — an after-school program that promotes physical activity, education, and nutrition among northern Indigenous youth. The program provides a safe, culturally inclusive and structured environment that encourages learning, connection, and growth.

The first Northy Club successfully launched in St. Theresa Point, MB, in October 2024, with an average of 75 students participating in weekly sessions throughout the 2024-25 academic year. The program integrates BRP’s focus on anti-bullying and intimidation prevention, with participants taking part in activities such as soccer, volleyball, land-based learning, community cleanups, and mini-workshops on healthy eating.
The Northy Club empowers northern Indigenous youth through community-centered, culturally informed, land-based learning opportunities tailored to the unique needs of each community. Rooted in culture, sport and inclusion, the Healthy Horizons Foundation strives to expand the program to more communities starting in 2026, fostering confidence, leadership, and lifelong healthy habits among youth.
