Following the recent storms and mass evacuations caused by Typhoon Halong, Alaska Commercial Company (ACC) provided crisis support to impacted rural communities through meaningful partnerships and coordinated relief efforts.

Since October, many rural and remote Alaska communities have faced significant challenges in the aftermath of Typhoon Halong, with flooding and infrastructure damage limiting access to essential supplies. With several communities only reachable by air or water, ACC partnered with vendors and air cargo partners to support rural Alaskans in need and evacuees in Anchorage, donating 40 pallets of bottled water.
When Bethel Search and Rescue reached out requesting air mattresses for elders, ACC quickly responded, sourcing and delivering the supplies to the local disaster response team. These relief efforts were made possible through effective collaborations with local vendors and community partners.

To continue supporting communities impacted by the storms, ACC stores across the region launched a Round-Up campaign through November 2, 2025. Customers were able to “Round Up” their purchases to the nearest dollar, with 100% of donations going directly to the Western Alaska Disaster Relief Fund. The campaign raised nearly $20,000 to support evacuees and storm-impacted communities.
Supporting the strength and resilience of Alaska’s communities remains of utmost importance during this time of recovery.
