The North West Company was proud to attend and support the 31st Annual Manitoba Indigenous Youth Achievement Awards (MIYAA), held on November 19, 2025, in Winnipeg, MB. The gala celebrates the excellence, leadership, dedication, and accomplishments of 20 Indigenous youth in Manitoba between the ages of 16 and 24.

The event recognizes Indigenous youth for their community contributions across academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, community involvement, culture, personal achievement, traditional employment, and health. By supporting MIYAA 2025, North West is proud to contribute to scholarships and other financial supports that help Indigenous youth continue pursuing their dreams and emerge as strong community leaders.

Nor’Westers in attendance enjoyed the performances by Good Heart Elk Singers, whose Honour, Flag and Victory songs revitalized the ceremony, as well as the inspiring stories of hope and resilience shared by this year’s award recipients. Organized entirely by volunteers, the gala brought the community together for an impactful evening applauding young leaders across the province.
