NorthMart Iqaluit is proud to partner with Nunavut Arctic College (NAC) to support students and families through weekly food donations to their Arctic College Food Bank, helping address rising food insecurity in the community.

For years, the college food bank has provided essential support to students from diverse communities across Nunavut, as well as their dependents. Many rely on financial assistance programs, and without full-time employment, they can face challenges in accessing nutritious meals for themselves and their families.

Recognizing the food bank’s significant impact, NorthMart reached out to the student representatives leading the initiative to establish a weekly donation plan. Through ongoing contributions of non-perishable and essential food items, the store aims to help reduce food insecurity, strengthen community well-being, and ease financial pressures so students can focus on their studies with less stress and a stronger sense of belonging.

This partnership reflects NorthMart’s commitment to empowering Iqaluit’s youth and families through meaningful contributions that help alleviate the growing challenges of food insecurity in the community.
