Through the generosity of RiteWay customers and the RTW Group of Companies, $10,000 was raised in support of communities in southwestern Jamaica as they continue to recover from the economic and emotional impacts of Hurricane Melissa, which made landfall on October 28, 2025.
Throughout the month of November, customers contributed $6,900 through RiteWay’s Round-Up for Relief initiative. This community-driven effort was further strengthened by a $3,100 contribution from the RTW Group of Companies.
In partnership with Pioneering Greatness, led by Deputy Governor David D. Archer Jr., and in collaboration with local chef Jacqui Tyson, of From Thought to Finish, the funds supported a weekly hot meals program. Balanced, packaged meals were delivered to families in parishes most affected by the hurricane. To expand its reach, the initiative also utilized a mobile food trailer, helping ensure access to meals in remote and heavily impacted areas.

“Our Sunday Dinner Relief project recognizes the importance of a balanced meal during this period of hardship,” said Jacqui Tyson, CEO of From Thought to Finish. “We are grateful for organizations such as RTW for supporting a critical relief effort.”
Supporting the communities we serve when it matters the most is central to The North West Company, and we are proud of RiteWay’s efforts and generosity of customers in helping communities regain strength during this time of recovery.
