Every February, the coastal town of Cordova, Alaska comes alive with the Iceworm Festival. This year, AC Cordova proudly supported the week-long celebrations through sponsorship and prize donations, joining residents, vendors, and visitors in embracing winter in true Cordovan spirit.

Since its inception in 1961, the Iceworm Festival, organized and led by community volunteers, has brought Cordovans together for community-favourite events such as the iceworm tail hunt, vibrant parades, friendly tournaments, and fun bake-offs. The festival also recognizes residents for outstanding community contributions and awards scholarships to exceptional students.
Alongside local community partners, AC Cordova supports the festival each year in meaningful ways, including donating snacks and toy prizes for the popular paper airplane contest and treating parade participants to ice cream. AC Cordova also provided gift cards to the survival suit competition winners and offered free refreshments for spectators.
“AC’s impact on our community’s well-being is truly appreciated, and we’re grateful to have such a dependable local business,” shared the Cordova Iceworm Festival social media page, thanking the store for its continued support.
