Our Northern store in Délı̨nę, Northwest Territories proudly supported the recent NHL All-Star Game held at Great Bear Lake as part of celebrations marking the community’s 200th anniversary and honouring its rich ice hockey history.

Throughout the weekend, the Winter Classic game brought local residents and visitors from across Canada to welcome a special lineup of NHL alumni, providing an opportunity to meet legendary hockey players. The event was made possible by the support of community partners, including a $10,000 contribution from the Northern store.

The community also hosted a gala dinner and a range of activities, including a community breakfast, live entertainment, and a community tour for visitors, honouring the community’s culture and rich heritage and its strong connections to the origins of the beloved Canadian sport.
