Our NorthMart store in Cross Lake, Manitoba recently supported the 67th Annual Trappers Festival, bringing together Pimicikamak Cree Nation members and visitors from neighboring communities.

The festival provided opportunities for community members to participate in friendly competitions through traditional winter activities such as ice fishing, dog sledding races, and talent shows.

The store team was pleased to support the gathering with a $7,500 contribution and also take part in various games.  

As the community continues to face hardships, with many residents still displaced from their homes following the December 2025 power outage, the festival provided a meaningful opportunity to celebrate community spirit and resilience and strengthen a sense of belonging.

The store looks forward to continuing its support to the community during this time through community partnerships and meaningful contributions.
