This year, the Attawapiskat Queens Broomball Team attended the Raymond Butterfly Memorial Cup in Moose Factory, Ontario with support from Northern Attawapiskat.

The tournament brought together hockey and broomball players from neighbouring communities for a weekend of friendly competition, team spirit, and family fun.

The store contributed $1,500 to help ensure the community’s local athletes had the opportunity to participate in the event and build meaningful connections through sport and recreation.

"The tournament was a great way for the players to interact and connect with other teams within this growing sport,” said team captain Terry Kebokee. “We’re grateful to our community partners for their support."
