The North West Company proudly supported the Anisininew Okimawain Youth and Elder Gathering in Winnipeg on June 1 and 2, bringing together community members to honour, celebrate, and protect their unique cultural identity and traditions.

Over two days, the culturally rooted gathering at the Anish Healing Centre connected more than 80 youth with Elders. Discussions focused on preserving Anisininew language, culture and history, and passing on family values, traditions, and knowledge to future generations.

Participants also heard inspiring messages and received $1,250 in gift cards, donated by The North West Company, as part of its support for the gathering.
