Northern Chisasibi, Quebec, proudly supported the Cree Nation of Chisasibi’s 35th Annual Traditional Pow Wow with a $3,500 donation, helping bring together residents from across the region to celebrate culture, tradition, and community.

The three-day celebration from June 26 to 28 began with a sacred fire and included a traditional pipe ceremony, the ceremonial initiation of young dancers, performances by local artists, and inspirational messages from community Elders.

Community members also participated in a variety of cultural competitions that honoured their traditional ways of life, and winners were recognized with prizes worth $1,500 donated by the store.

“Gatherings like this provide an opportunity for us to celebrate culture, strengthen our connections, and share meaningful moments with the people we’re proud to serve,” said Northern’s Financial Services Manager Jenn Roch.
