Culturally Rooted and Community First

What makes Keya Bedding unique is its thoughtful, community-centered approach to creating bedding, apparel, and gift products. Founded by Joshua Hennan, a proud member of Bloodvein First Nation, Keya embodies deep First Nations roots and community spirit. In collaboration with an Oji-Cree artist, Keya not only creates vibrant product designs but also uplifts Indigenous artists through fair, creative partnerships.

The North West Company first began sourcing Keya products through Dreamcatcher Promotions in 2022, transitioning to direct purchase orders in 2024 to further strengthen the relationship. Since then, the partnership has grown steadily, with Keya expanding its product line, giving our Northern stores the opportunity to feature a wider selection.

Category Manager Julie Turcan meets with Joshua several times a year to explore opportunities for strategic growth. “Their responsiveness and adaptability have been key drivers in the evolution of this partnership,” said Turcan.

Keya’s collaborative process involves gathering feedback from customers to meet expectations for quality and pricing. Their reliable, high-quality product line, timely shipping, market-informed product development, and strong desire for growth make them a trusted and valued partner.

North West is proud to partner with Keya Bedding, offering culturally rooted and community-involved products while reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting economic growth in Indigenous communities.
